Oral lesions in paediatric patients with COVID-19 and Paediatric Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome: a review

Paediatric patients comprise a small proportion of the SARS-CoV-2 infected population. They usually present with mild symptoms, however them may require intensive care due to shock and multi-organ failure related Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome temporally associated (PIMS-TS). This review article summarises oral mucosal lesions in children COVID-19 PIMS-TS. The most common sites affected are tongue lips. Commonly reported include cheilitis, dry red lips, swelling. is importance all healthcare professionals involved multidisciplinary for this group patients.
